IRAN OFFERS DISCOUNTS TO JAPANESE BUYERS
Following widespread dissatisfaction in Japan regarding price discriminationagainst Japanese buyers of Iranian crude who were being required to lift at theofficial selling price (OSP) while West of Suez purchasers were obtainingsubstantial discounts (MEES, 9 and 16 November), MEES understands that Iran's NIOC is now offering market-related discounts to Japanese customers who performtheir contract liftings in full.
