Iraq Attacks Tug near Kharg Island
The 740-ton tug Salvere, owned by Singapore's Semco Salvage Company, whichhas an exclusive contract with the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) toservice its vessels in the Gulf, was attacked by Iraqi aircraft near KhargIsland on 9 June. Two crew members were killed as a result of the attack.
