Qatar Denies Granting Discounts on Crude Oil Sales
A spokesman for the Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC) has denied reports appearing in trade journals to the effect that Qatar is granting discounts off official prices in its crude oil sales. In a statement to the Qatar news agency on 14 May, the spokesman affirmed that Qatar was fully committed to the production and price provisions of last December's OPEC agreement.
