Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has put himself firmly in the camp of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as the confrontation over the presidential election continues in Tehran. One of the first casualties of the crisis may be President Obama's attempt to engage the Iranians in dialogue.
