IEA Adds O.2mn b/d to 3Q Demand Estimate
After reducing its estimate for world oil demand in the third quarter from 44.7mn b/d in August to 44.4mn b/d in September, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has raised the figure again in the October issue of its monthly Oil Market Report (OMR) to 44.6mn b/d. The increase is attributable to higher consumption in the OECD countries, with 3Q demand now estimated at 33mn b/d rather than the previous 32.8mn b/d, down 2% from the 3Q 1984...
