Nigeria Suspends Barter Deals
All import licences issued for the oil-for-goods barter deals concluded under the former regime of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari have been suspended, according to an announcement by the Nigerian Ministry of Trade on 6 November. The suspension will remain in force until the government has taken a decision on a report by a special panel which is reviewing the barter agreements.
