USSR and Oman Cut Crude Prices
On the eve of the OPEC conference in Vienna, both the USSR and Oman have announced cuts in the price of their oil exports. The price of Soviet Urals crude has been reduced by 50 cents/B as of 1 July to $25.50/B c.i.f., from the former $26/B, while Oman has informed its term customers that the price applicable for their June liftings is $25.90/B, down 25 cents/B from the May price of $26.15/B.
