DME Reports 19% Growth In Trading Volume During 2011
The Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) on 18 January announced that it had recorded a year-on-year trading volume growth of 19% during 2011. The exchange said in a statement that it delivered more than 145mn barrels of crude during 2011, mostly under its DME Oman Crude Oil Futures contract. “Within this growth figure is an underlying increase in average daily volume to 3,505 contracts per day, peaking at 4,427 per day in July,”...
