Power Capacity Tops 37GW As President Khatami Inaugurates Bandar Abbas Plant
Irans President Mohammad Khatami on 10 May inaugurated a 990mw gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in Bandar Abbas. At the opening ceremony Hossein Mahmoudzadeh, head of the Iran Power Development Organization, said that the new plant took Irans power generating capacity to 37.625gw.
