Libya Formally Accepts Civil Responsibility For Lockerbie Bombing
Libya has formally accepted civil responsibility for the bombing of the Pan Am airliner in December 1988 that resulted in the deaths of 270 and offered to pay $10mn to the families of each of the victims, bringing the total compensation package to $2.7bn, according to news reports from Tripoli.
