New BOT Sea Water Cooling Plant Planned
The Public Authority for Industry has approved plans for the setting up of a new sea water cooling plant on a build, own, transfer (BOT) basis, according to press reports on 6 May. The new plant, costing KD35mn ($117mn), will have capacity to produce 1.13bn cu ms/year of cooled sea water, serving the industries and facilities of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and petrochemical firms.
