BP Announces Natural Gas Discovery In Egyptian Offshore
BP Egypt on 31 May announced a new natural gas discovery in its offshore North Alexandria concession off the Nile Delta. The Fayoum (L-1X) well, drilled in 400ms of water 35km from the Egyptian coast, tested dry gas at a rate of 21mn cubic ft/day from the main target zone and at 6mn cfd from a secondary, siltier zone.
