First Oman LNG Shipment To South Korea In April
Oman LNG will be exporting its first cargo of gas from Qalhat in April, on a date still to be determined. Its destination will be South Korea, the first shipment in a 25-year sale and purchase agreement between Oman LNG and the Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS). Annual contract quantities have been set at 2mn tons this year, rising to 4mn tons in 2001 and 4.1mn t/y from 2002 onwards (MEES, 16 August 1999).
