Turkey Drops Plans For Akkuyu Nuclear Plant
The Turkish cabinet decided on 25 July to postpone indefinitely plans to construct a nuclear power plant at Akkuyu on Turkeys Mediterranean coast, since financing the $3bn-$5bn project would hinder an International Monetary Fund (IMF) program to reduce the countrys inflation rate.
