Saudi Banks Reshuffle Rankings And Continue To Prosper
1999 witnessed a reshuffling of the ranking of Saudi Arabias domestic banks as the post-merger Saudi American Bank (SAMBA) moved up to second and possibly pending the finalization of the 1999 accounts of National Commercial Bank (NCB) to first place in terms of equity with SR8,248.1mn ($2,202.4mn) at the end of the year.
