Iran Halts Drilling Company Privatization But Proceeds With Tankers Sale
Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh has called a halt to plans to sell off the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), according the official news agency IRNA. The decision to review the sale follows protests by NIDC workers, who halted drilling work because of fears of job losses, and claims in Iranian newspapers that the company has been undervalued for the sale.
