Egypts decision to restore diplomatic relations with Iraq signals the beginning of the end of Iraqs regional isolation. In Lebanon, the question of Syrias military presence has abruptly surfaced as a matter of public debate. Qatar has given in to pressure from Saudi Arabia and Iran and broken its ties with Israel ahead of the forthcoming OIC summit.
