Kuwait And Qatar Sign MOU For Construction Of Steel Plant in Kuwait
The state-owned Qatar Steel Company (QASCO) and the Kuwait National Industries Company(NIC - owned 22.7% by the Kuwait Investment Authority) have signed a memorandum ofunderstanding (MOU) for the construction of a steel plant in Kuwait at a cost of $80mn.The plant will be designed with an output capacity of 300,000 tons/year of reinforcedsteel bars.
