Kuwait's Request for Oil Assistance Turned Down by GCC
MEES learns that Kuwait's request for oil assistance of up to 800,000 b/d hasmet with a negative response from its fellow members of the Gulf CooperationCouncil (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the UAE). The appealwas made on 29 May by Dr. Hammud al-Ruqbah, the Kuwaiti Oil Minister, at aspecial meeting of GCC Oil Ministers in Riyadh.
