Jordan Sets Up Private Firm To Replace Jordan Electricity Authority
The Jordanian Government has decided to privatize the state-owned Jordan Electricity Authority (JEA) and announced on 16 July that it has registered a new National Electricity Company (NEC) which will become a legal entity with effect from 1 August. This move is the first major step towards the privatization of key state establishments under the suggested IMF economic reforms....
