Kuwait's Parliament Agrees Debt Write Offs For Allies
Kuwait's National Assembly has passed a law to write off $3bn in debts owedto it by Egypt and Syria. Interest owing from seven other countries will also becanceled. The law covers loans to Egypt of KD824mn ($2,745mn) and loans to Syriaof KD38.7mn ($129mn).
