Production Of Abu Tartur Phosphates To Start End-May
Egypt plans to start production at its giant Abu Tartur phosphates mine inthe Western Desert by the end of this month, Egyptian Industry and MineralResources Minister Ibrahim Fawzi 'Abd al-Wahid said on 2 May. He indicated thatproduction will reach 600,000 tons/year by the end of 1995, rising to 2.2mntons/year by the end of 1996.
