World Bank Approves $157mn Loan to Iran
The World Bank is to lend Iran $157mn to improve agricultural yields in fourdifferent areas of the country. The loan is the third to be agreed by the WorldBank in recent years. Last year it extended two loans totaling $134mn foragricultural schemes and drainage work in Tehran. In 1991 it agreed to lend$250mn for earthquake rehabilitation.
