GIIC Plans Production Boost at Bahrain Iron Pellet Plant
The Gulf Industrial Investment Company (GIIC) announced on 8 March that itsBahrain-based iron pellet plant will increase output to 4mn tons/year by 1994.The announcement follows an agreement reached by Bahrain and Iran on 4 Marchunder which Iran will supply iron ore to the iron pellet plant and buy back1.5mn t/y of iron pellets (see related story above).
