AISCO's Pellet Plant in Bahrain Inaugurated
The $300-mn pellet plant in Bahrain of the Arab Iron and Steel Company (AISCO) was inaugurated at an official ceremony on 12 December by the Amir of Bahrain, Shaikh 'Isa ibn Salman al-Khalifah.
The plant, constructed by Japan's Kobe Steel at a location off Sitra, has a design capacity for the production of 4mn tons/year of iron oxide pellets utilizing as feedstock iron ore imported from India and Brazil as well as Bahrain...
