'Ali Khalifah Repudiates Iraq's Oil Accusations Against Kuwait
In a wide ranging interview with the Saudi London-based daily al-Sharq al-Awsatof 28 September, the Kuwait Minister of Finance, Shaikh 'Ali Khalifah al-Sabah,refuted Iraqi charges that Kuwait had drained oil from Iraq's Rumaila field,arguing that the reverse was the case. He also energetically repudiated chargesthat Kuwait was responsible for the decline in oil prices prior to the Gulfcrisis....
