Sultan Qaboos Confirms Agreement with South Yemen on Disputed Border

The Sultan of Oman, Qaboos ibn Said, confirmed on 18 December that Oman andSouth Yemen have reached an agreement on almost all the disputed borders betweenthe two countries, following the visit to Muscat last October of the Presidentof South Yemen, Mr. Haidar Abu Bakr al-'Attas (MEES, 7 November).
