USSR Finances Sinai Power Plant
The Soviet Union has agreed to provide concessionary credits to Egypt tofinance the construction of a 1,200 MW gas and coal power station at 'Yun Musain Sinai. The size of the Soviet loan is undisclosed, but will cover the construction cost of the plant together with the cost ofimporting electrical andmechanical equipment from the Soviet Union.
