AID FLOWS
Denmark Grants $35mn to Egypt
Following the visit of the Danish Prime Minister, Mr. Poul Schlueter, toCairo in mid-February, Denmark has approved a grant-in-aid to Egypt worth $35mn,tied to the purchase of Danish products for agricultural projects, as well aselectrical cables and hospital emergency equipment. Denmark has also decided toprovide all future aid to Egypt in the form of grants, rather than as softloans.
