Gabon Seeks a Higher OPEC Quota
The Gabonese Minister of Oil, Mr. Julien M'Pouho-Epigat, stated in Librevilleon 28 April that his country will request an increase in its OPEC quota from166,000 b/d to over 250,000 b/d in view of the increased production fromShell/Elf's Rabi Kounga field which went on stream in January this year. Mr.M'Pouho-Epigat disclosed that production from the field has risen from 30,400b/d in February to 95,400 b/d in March.
