Japan Reschedules Sudanese Debts
Japan has agreed to reschedule 4.18bn ($25.8mn) in debts owed by Sudan,according to a Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesman on 26 December. Under theagreement, Sudan will repay the debt 241.6mn ($1.49mn) at a 2.5% annualinterest rate owed to Japan's Overseas Economic Corporation Fund and 3.94bn($24.33mn) at an 8% annual interest rate owed to Japanese private banks in 20semi-annual installments...
