USAID Donates Emergency Food Supplies to Southern Sudan
The USAID has announced that it will provide an initial shipment of 12,000tons of food supplies which constitutes one-sixth of the needs of the civiliansin South Sudan, according to a joint survey by US and Sudanese agencies. Lastyear relief organizations estimated three million Sudanese faced starvation inthe south because of the drought and the civil war engulfing the area.
