Amoco Signs Production-Sharing Agreement with Jordan
The Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Hisham al-Khatib, signed on 25 March a 7.5-year production-sharing agreement with Amoco Jordan Petroleum - a newly-established 'Amman-based subsidiary of Standard Oil Company (Indiana) - for oil and gas exploration in two blocks with a total area of 10,950 sq. kms.
