First Platform Installed at Bouri
On 4 September the first drilling and loading platform at Libya's offshore Bouri oil field was inaugurated, according to a report by the official Libyan news agency JANUL The report states that the two rigs on the 24,640-ton platform, which is located some 120 kms. northwest of Tripoli, are expected to drill 30 wells, and that a second platform is to be delivered in the first half of 1987.
