Ruwais Refinery Shuts Down for Hydrocracker Tie-in
ADNOC's 120,000 b/d Ruwais refinery has shut down for the month of January in order to permit the tie-in of a new hydrocracking plant, MEES learns. The plant, built by Italy's Snam Progetti at a cost of some $400mn, has a hydrocracking capacity of 27,000 b/d. Crude throughput at the Ruwais refinery is currently running at around 100,000 b/d.
