Tension has persisted in the Gulf, with Iraq keeping up its raids on Kharg Island while Iran has stepped up its harassment of commercial shipping, further aggravating its relations with Kuwait in particular. Despite continuing threats, the escalation has however so far remained within bounds, with the bulk of Iran's oil exports continuing to flow through Kharg, and the Iranians thus not feeling obliged to try to implement their threat to stop all Arab oil...
