Algeria Optimistic On Future Production Potential
Algerian Oil Minister Yousef Yousfi says Algeria could double its natural gas production within 7-10 years after recent tight and conventional gas discoveries.
Whilst this looks highly optimistic given serial project delays that continue to hamper growth, several large recent crude discoveries hold out the hope that Algeria could reverse the past five years’ 250,000 b/d slump to just over 1.1mn b/d.
