Yemen Lowers Fuel Prices Following Riots

The Yemeni government on 26 July announced that it would lower fuel prices following riots sparked by a decision to cut subsidies on petrol and diesel (MEES, 25 July). As many as 50 protesters were killed during clashes with security forces, and hundreds were injured.
