Iraqi Oil Minister Lays Cornerstones For Two Refineries
Iraqi Oil Minister Ibrahim Bahr al-'Ulum last week laid the cornerstones for two refineries a 140,000 b/d refinery at Nahrain in Karbala Province, some 100km south of Baghdad, and a smaller 30,000 b/d plant at al-Diwaniya, some 160km south of Baghdad, with a cost of $300mn al-Hayat reported on 6 December.
