Shell To Leave Turkmenistan
Shell announced on 18 March that it will leave Turkmenistan, with which it formed a Strategic Alliance Agreement in August 1999 to explore and develop the countrys vast hydrocarbon reserves. Shell said that it would maintain only a minimum presence in Ashgabat in order to monitor developments in Turkmenistans oil and gas sectors.
