Iranian Tanker Runs Aground In Suez Canal
The National Iranian Tanker Companys (NITCs) VLCC Iran Noor ran aground in the Suez Canal on 24 March, according to a Lloyds Casualty Reporting Service bulletin of the following day. The 298,700 dwt tanker sailed from Kharg Island on 13 March with about 150,000 tons of crude oil for delivery to Spain. The Iran Noor is a double-hull tanker, and no oil spillage was reported.
