Saudi Aramco Makes New Oil Find In Eastern Province

Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi announced on 1 April that Saudi Aramco had discovered a new oilfield in the Eastern province. The Yibrin field is situated 260km southeast of Riyadh and 50km south of Haradh, on the southern edge of the super giant al-Ghawar oilfield. Mr Naimi said the first well had been drilled, yielding an average of 5,100 b/d of very light crude and 7.4mn cu ft/day of natural gas. This is...
