Suez Canal RevenueFalls 3.6% In 2001-02
The President of the Suez CanalAuthority, Ahmad 'Ali Fadil, has announced that canalrevenue for 2001-02 stood at $1.877bn, down by $70mn on the previous year. Atotal of 13,446 ships passed through the canal in 2001-02 carrying 439.3mntons, a fall of 4.9%.
