AfDB Loans Egypt $550Mn For Suez City Power Plant
The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a $550mn loan to Egypt for the construction of a 650mw steam cycle power plant in Suez City. The facility will use Egyptian natural gas as feedstock and provide 5.5% of the countrys targeted increase to 41gw in installed generation capacity by 2017, the bank said.
