Jordan Records Positive Growth Despite Political Turmoil
Despite ongoing political turmoil, the Jordanian economy is estimated to have achieved a growth rate of 3.8% at current prices and 4.1% at fixed prices for the year 2000. According to a report issued by the 'Amman based Atlas Investment Group (AIG) at the end of December, the sectors with the highest value added growth (at fixed prices) were trade, restaurants and hotels (7.2%), manufacturing (6.6%)...
