Suez Canal Petroleum Traffic More Than Doubles In 2000
The total volume of crude oil and petroleum products transported through the Suez Canal in 2000 (both northbound and southbound) increased by 125% to 52.976mn tons, compared to 23.529mn tons in 1999, according to the annual report of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA).
