QGPC Studies New Petrochemical Projects
The Qatar General Petroleum Corp. (QGPC) is engaged in thestudy of two new petrochemical projects that would draw gas feedstock from theNorth field. One study is with Franceç—´ Elf Atochem for a 250,000 ton/yearpolypropylene plant at Ras Laffan. QGPC and Elf Atochem signed on 4 May anagreement for the study, which is due to be complete in six months. The otherstudy involves private investors from Qatar and the Middle East...
