Qatar To Start Issuing Bills And Bonds
In a long-awaited development, the Qatari Council of Ministers and the majlisal-shura have approved a law which allows the central bank to begin issuing bills andbonds denominated in Qatari riyals. A local economist contacted by MEES said thathe expected the Central Bank to start issuing bonds shortly, although no start date wasgiven in the reports.
