Tunisia Awards Offshore Permits To US And Canadian Firms
Tunisia has awarded a seismic option permit to the US oil company Anschutz in anoffshore area near the northeast coast. The area is called Kerkouane and covers 8,956 sq.kms. The Canadian company Ecumed has also received an offshore exploration permit in theGulf of Gabes. The 3,452-sq. km. area is called the Mellita permit.
