Egyptian Budget Approved
The National Assembly has approved the Egyptian budget for the financial year 1998-99,which will begin on 1 July. The budget foresees total spending of E91.2bn ($26.9bn) anda deficit of E800mn ($236mn). Otherwise details are for the moment scant, but PrimeMinister Kamal al-Ganzuri did give some other details to the National Assembly, reportedin the daily al-Ahram, on the state of Egyptian public finances - and in particularthe debt...
